Playtest guide
How to install, play and report bugs in this test build.
I
Install
On the Download page, click "Download the installer" and open WayfarerIsles-Setup.exe. Windows may warn that the program is new: click "More info", then "Run anyway". The launcher opens by itself and downloads the game (about 2 GB).

Create your account
In the launcher choose "Create an account", enter your e-mail and a password, and type the code we e-mail you. Then create a character: name, vocation and outfit, and press Play.

Controls
Hold the right mouse button to walk toward the cursor, or click it to walk to a point. W, A, S, D (and Q, E, Z, C for the diagonals) walk too. The left button uses things: doors, levers, items, and stairs, ramps and holes (the character walks to the stair's front and takes it). Ctrl + click opens the menu of what is under the cursor. Alt shows the names of the items on the ground.

Talking to NPCs
Walk up and say "hi" in the chat. The highlighted words in their lines are the topics they understand: type one to go on. "bye" ends the talk.

What to try
Follow Jonah in the house where you start: he teaches the basics and sends you to the village. Explore the first cave, fight rats, snakes and spiders, loot the corpses (left-click a corpse), sell in the shops, and see what the Encyclopedia (J) records.

Reporting a bug
Write down what you did, what you expected and what happened, and where you were (near which NPC or place). Take a screenshot (Win + Shift + S) and send it all to Daniel. This is a test build: expect bugs, and progress may be wiped.
