What Wayfarer Isles keeps about you, why, and for how long.
Your account
Your account keeps your e-mail address, a protected form of your password (never the password itself), your characters and their progress, and a short security log (log-ins and changes, with the network address they came from).
We use your e-mail only for codes and security notices: to confirm the address, to reset the password, and to warn you about changes to your account. No newsletters, no advertising, nothing sold or shared.
The launcher
The launcher keeps your settings and, if you choose "remember me", a sign-in key encrypted for your Windows user. It keeps no password and sends no usage data.
How long we keep data
We keep the IP addresses of your log-ins, game sessions and e-mail codes for at most 30 days, only to protect accounts against abuse; after that they are deleted. A record of security events on your account (log-ins, password and e-mail changes, account deletion) is kept for 180 days, without the IP address after the first 30 days. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
Deleting
You can delete a character or your whole account at any time under Account. Deleting is immediate and removes your characters, items and codes; the security log keeps only the account's number.
